New Option: AI-evaluated task verifications

Preface: existing task proof methods continue to work.

With that being clear :), we realize that many of you don’t want to send proof of tasks via email, because you don’t want a random human keyholder from our site taking a look, even if your face is blurred.

To solve this issue, we are introducing AI-evaluated task verifications. Not only does it make sure the proof is never handled by a human, but is also a lot faster, and gives you feedback. (This option is currently only available in Almost Human game mode, if you have AI Chat enabled. Evaluation and feedback use a small amount of credits.)

After enabling this option (again, this is completely optional–just like task proofs, or tasks in general), you will be asked to provide a photo proof of the task along with your usual rating. This proof will only be evaluated by AIs, and not a single one of our human keyholders will ever see it. When the AI evaluation is done, the image is immediately deleted.

So, how does it work?
  1. You complete the task, take picture(s), along with the handwritten note with today’s date on it.
  2. You upload this photo at the same time as you give your task rating (how you liked it, how difficult it was).
  3. Our AI systems evaluate the proof. To make sure nothing is missed, we have multiple runs of this.
  4. Your AI Keyholder lets you know the result in the AI Chat. It can either be a pass or a fail. If passed, your task is marked as verified.
  5. The image is deleted, and is gone from our system forever.
You can only submit one photo, but there’s nothing stopping you from making that photo a collage if you want to show progression of time. For best practice tips on what this photo should look like, see this blog post.

Why choose AI if the email verification still works?
No human contact. This is the main reason we implemented this feature. To give people a chance to verify their tasks even if they don’t want anyone seeing their photos. This feature handles this situation completely: no human contact, and the photo is deleted after evaluation.
Speed. Unlike email, which takes time, AI evaluation is usually fast. In most cases, you get the results back in under ten minutes. (We are prepared for situations where AI evaluation doesn’t immediately succeed–in these cases the AI will retry a bit later. But it will always be an AI, it will never be forwarded to a human for evaluation.)
Feedback. If the verification fails, you’ll know why. If it passes, your Keyholder will tell you the strong points of your proof.

Once again: the old method–sending tasks through email–still stays in place. If that’s what you like, you can continue using that method.

(If you get flagged for not actually doing the task, and your tasks are disabled, then email will be the only available option, in fact.)

This new feature is an option you can enable/disable at any time when you are in Almost Human game mode, and use AI Chat. The setting can be found in the “Your introduction & Preferences” menu.

So, with privacy, speed, and feedback in mind, give this new feature a try!
