Tasks as fantasy

The biggest friction point between you guys and us, the admins, is tasks. No question about it.

Our vision was a system where if you ask for tasks, you actually do them. It appears that many of you only want tasks as a fantasy, and have no actual intention of doing them. :(

This has led to many arguments, going as far as some of you even canceling your memberships when we don’t believe that you managed to finish a 30-minute task in under 2 minutes.

To create a space where even fantasy tasks can thrive, while keeping open the option to actually finish and verify the tasks, we are now allowing fantasy completions.

What does this mean in practice?
  1. We won’t be deactivating tasks on accounts where tasks are clearly not finished.
  2. To make life simpler, we are removing the option to separately enable task verifications. All tasks will have the option to be verified—and, of course, you have the option to not ever verify a single task if you don’t want to. Tasks and task verifications are completely optional, just as before.
  3. We are enabling task verifications through AI (no human involvement) for all game modes (except human mode, of course). This means if you want more anonymity, you can verify tasks through AI and not go through a human keyholder. (Existing accounts can still verify through email if you wish to do so.)
  4. Accounts that do not verify tasks will simply be assumed to only play the tasks in fantasy, and not in real life.
  5. Those of you who do verify tasks will have that status appear for your keyholder (if applicable), for our support staff, as well as for yourself in the dashboard.
  6. A constant reminder of your task verification percentage will appear in your dashboard.
With this change, we hope to remove most of the current friction points.

If you notice any issues, please let us know. And as always, we appreciate any constructive feedback you have.
