What do I do with my keys?

Okay, so you've locked yourself up. What now?

First, read our post about how virtual keyholding works.

Chastity locks always have at least two keys. One of these will be your emergency key. Put is somewhere safe, as outlined in the above post. Always have access to it in case of an emergency, but don't let it be too easy to grab whenever you feel like you've had enough.

The other key (or keys, if there are more than two keys to your chastity lock) you will have to put away in some sort of safe that has a numeric combination that can be changed..

An actual safe works fine, but that has a drawback: you have a key to the safe, thus you can get to your chastity key whenever you want.

So most people turn to what's called a lockbox. You can find tons of these online; chances are, even your local hardware store has them.

These lockboxes are small, portable, and are designed to hold a few keys, and not much else. The only way you can open them is with a numeric combination—they have no physical key. (This is what makes them ideal for chastity keyholding purposes.)

When you are instructed to lock up with a certain combination, you change the combination of the lock to that number. Make sure it's correct! :) You put your chastity key in the lockbox, close the lockbox, and scramble the numbers a bit. You then click the box at ChastityDungeon.com, indicating that you are all set, and you no longer see the numeric combination.

You may think it's a 4-digit combination, you'll remember it. You may remember the first one. And the second. Maybe even the third. But once you keep using this method, there will be so many numbers, you'll keep mixing them up, and then completely forgetting what the last one was.

When your chastity lock-time is up, and you are allowed to take your cage or belt off, our website will give you the combination to the safe. You then get your chastity key and unlock.

It's that easy! You're now ready for the next session, that will begin with setting a brand new combination for the lock, and then repeating the above steps.

You may think "It's a 4-digit combination. Even if I forget it, how hard could it be to just try all combinations?" And you're right. If you lose your Internet connection, and can no longer log in to our site to retrieve your opening combination, then you still have the option to just try every single number between 0 and 9999, and you can eventually open the lockbox. But that takes a lot of effort. (I know, I tried... ;))

That's all you need to know. All but one key(s) in the lockbox, and one key somewhere safe but still hard to get, as an emergency key. Always have an escape-plan! Always have access to that emergency key!

Play safe and have fun!
